    Description

Vintage Dragonware Japanese Moriage 24-Piece China Tea Set
Up for auction is this colorful 24-piece Japanese moriage tea set in very good condition. The pieces are painted in a black matte finish and lined with gold gilt and have lots of gold gilded accents. The moriage designs are hand-painted and each has a slight variation in it which adds to the uniqueness of the design. These variations are not obvious until you look for them. This set was probably produced around 1980. If you love dragons and geishas and unique china sets, this is the set for you! I have described the components below and pointed out the only two small chips I can find in the whole set.
This set will ship USPS parcel post with insurance, and it will be carefully packed and boxed. The shipping is calculated according to your zip code, and you can get a shipping estimate prior to bidding. Feel free to email me with questions.
    The set includes:
One teapot, 7.25" tall (with lid) and 8.5" wide from spout to handle. There is a very small chip on the inside brim of the teapot which you can see in the two photos of the front and back of the teapot. Mark on bottom is red MADE IN JAPAN.
One creamer, 5" tall (with lid) and 6" wide from spout to handle. I find no chips or cracks in this piece. Mark on bottom is red MADE IN JAPAN.
One sugar bowl, 5" tall (with lid) and 6.5" wide from handle to handle. I find no chips or cracks in this piece. Mark on bottom is red MADE IN JAPAN.
Six luncheon plates, 7.25" in diameter. I find no chips or cracks in these plates. Note in the photos that the luncheon plates have two gold stripes on the left side and one gold stripe on the left. The saucers' gold stripes are opposite of that. Mark on bottom is red MADE IN JAPAN.
Six saucers, 5.5" in diameter. There is a small chip on the top edge of one of these plates -- you can view it in the photo of the saucers. Note in the photos that the saucers have one gold stripe on the left and two gold stripes on the left. The luncheon plates' stripes are opposite of that. Each of the saucers has the red "MADE IN JAPAN" mark. One has an additional "MADE IN JAPAN" mark in faint black, and four have an extra black mark "MADE N".
Six tea cups, 2" tall and 4.25" wide including the handle. I find no chips or cracks in these cups. There is no mark on the bottom of the cups.
