    Description:
This is a water jug (a.k.a
    Mizu-Sashi in t
    ea ceremony).
The body is made of glass while the lid is made of lacquerware with a glass made shell-shaped knob.
Indeed, it is ideal for you to use in summer season.
It was hand made by a reputable tea utensil artist
    MIZUSAKI Nagatoshi (水崎長寿 in Japanese)
, who is an expert to produce high quality glass-made tea utensils.
The design of the body is known as Mugiwara-Te (麦藁手 in Japanese) meaning "Straws-Like" stripes.
The green knob is a shell from the sea which is made of glass (photo #5 - 7).
"Mugiwara-Te" and "shell from sea" give a good feeling of summer.
Though a virtually invisible mark can be seen at the back of the lid (photo #8 & 9), i
t seems not used and is in excellent condition.
