Description

Gnarly Fuzz That Cleans Up Nicely
Note:
Due to the vintage nature of the design, this pedal requires an isolated power supply or 9V battery for proper operation.
Joe Morgan came across a bin of NOS NKT275 germanium transistors in his new facility and decided he had to put them to good use. The Morgan MKII is one result. Joe based this unapologetically overblown fuzz on the three-transistor Sola Sound Tone Bender Professional MKII circuit from the mid-1960s and early '70s. What makes the Morgan MKII unique is it approximates amp breakup before the fuzz. This means it sounds great even through a clean amp. Your guitar's output controls the MKII's sound, which ranges from gritty and dynamic to a raucous, sputtery mess. And just like Morgan guitar amps, Morgan pedals are proudly handbuilt in California. If you're looking to get your hands on an authentic NKT275 fuzz for a great price, Sweetwater guitarists recommend the Morgan MKII. Grab one while they last!
