    This is a vintage sterling silver Navajo sand cast Yei Spirit
    squash blossom
    necklace, measuring 26 inches in length.
    The pendants on this necklace represent, Yei spirits, deities of the Navajo, (Dine') people. Yei means, 'the Holy People.' Yei Spirits are believed to control the elements such as, rain, snow, wind and sun, and also control the day and night.
    There are 9 Yei Spirit pendants on this beautiful necklace. The large center Yei Spirit
    pendant
    measures approximately 2 1/16" x 2". The 8 smaller Yei Spirit Pendants Measure approximately 1 3/8" x 1 1/2".  The necklace weighs 126 grams. There are no markings, tests silver.
    This necklace was sold to me by an ebay dealer in 2003. I have done nothing to modify this necklace from it's original purchase. When purchased, I was told it came from a lot of jewelry from the estate of Anne Miller, a singer and and dancer in motion pictures of the 1940's and 50's. I have been unable to find any pictures of the star wearing this necklace to prove provenance. So, it probably doesn't effect the price of this piece.
    This necklace is in great used condition with the exception of two unnoticeable silver-plated split rings that connect the sides of the necklace to the front,
    these split rings have rusted a bit so I know they are not sterling silver. They will not polish up as they should if they were
    . I've included these split rings in pictures three and four for your inspection. I want to give you full disclosure on this piece so that there are no problems with your purchase.
