    Native Americans believe GHOST BEADS are mystical and powerful. The beads are believed to fend off evil spirits, and protect against bad thoughts and bad dreams. They are said to create peace between earth, man, and the animals.
    DESCRIPTION
    This colorful beaded necklace was handmade by ROSELEE YAZZIE, Navajo, Keams Canyon, AZ. It is made of glass beads, silver beads, NATURAL CEDAR BEADS (seeds from a juniper tree, a type of cedar tree, also known as GHOST BEADS). The cedar beads are hand-picked and each bead is hand-drilled. This necklace has a handmade PENDANT. The PENDANT has cedar beads sewn on a leather backing with "spokes" made of glass tube beads. The PENDANT is approximately 1 1/2" across and has 1 3/4" dangles. This NECKLACE has been BLESSED by a Native American MEDICINE MAN.
    This necklace is approximately 24" long.
