High Grade LONE MOUNTAIN Turquoise Nugget Necklace Earrings Set

Description

Vintage 1970s Native American Indian natural high grade LONE MOUNTAIN Turquoise “sea foam” polished nugget necklace and earrings set. Comes from a personal friend of mine, and has family history of being purchased by his parents back in the 1970s from Bill Malone at the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona. The Hubbell Trading Post is now a National Historic Site. Included with the necklace is the box it was kept in for so many years, note the writing on the box lid that says

Nuggets are all smooth and polished
, and at the back end there is a Sterling Silver hook closure, and the earrings are on hinged clip-ons, that could easily be changed to pierced wires or posts, or added to the necklace, so it could be lengthened.
The Nuggets on necklace are strung on a heavy gauge foxtail chain, with soldered hook ends. The Nuggets of the earrings are on Sterling Silver wires, that are wrapped at the top with a loop for hanging, and ball beaded ends at the bottoms, to hold them on the wires.
The necklace & earrings set is in good used condition: the Nuggets are not chipped or cracked, markings are natural matrix & fissures on the stones, and the hook closure works perfectly, and clip-ons have good tension.
The necklace is approximately 22 1/2 inches long from end to end, and total weight of the necklace is 7.2 ounces. Each earrings is approximately 2 inches tall from top of clip-on to bottom bead, and they weigh 0.8 ounces. I use a postage scale for weight and the weight of necklace & earrings together is 7.8 ounces.
