    Description

    Welcome!
WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT IT: ... a rare and lovely bracelet unsigned but
confidently attributed to Fred Peshlakai, an early piece and unsigned but with multitudes of elements identical to his documented work. The stamped drops between the stones, the bezels surrounded by twisted wire and then a lot of circles, in this case, stamped raindrops, the carinated wires framing the outside of the base of the bracelet with gentle stamp work on the outside edge, and twisted wires in the center of the foundation. I've compared to pics in a book of signed pieces and there is 100% exact comparison. This attribution is guaranteed. The terminals are properly finished, and everything is early work and hand made. The stones are fabulous high quality natural stones, which I think are either Bisbee or Morenci, top
    grade and
they are truly gorgeous. There is normal wear to the bracelet but no damage and it's fabulous in every way.
BACKGROUND: Fred Peshlakai lived from 1896-1974, was a first generation descendant of Slender Maker of Silver. He was a teacher in 1931 at Fort Wingate Indian School, teaching such students as
    Kenneth
Begay. He had his own shop in California and won multiple prizes. He is one of the most revered early Navajo silversmiths whose works are in many museums, the best of galleries and his works obtain top pricing. I've tried to set my pricing for this lower than what his works usually cost.
CONDITION: excellent vintage, wearable and collectible with normal moderate age related wear.
    MEASUREMENTS:
    • internal length silver alone 5-1/4", gap 1-1/4", total 6-1/2"
    • width center 1-1/4", terminals 1/2"
    • weight 75.8grams
    • unsigned which was common in early times but confidently attributed to Fred Peshlakai.
    He was Navajo.
SUMMARY: This is one of the most beautiful bracelets, perfect, entirely hand constructed of ingot, which is just exquisite, with three gorgeous, vibrant, pieces of natural turquoise at the center, set with multitudes of hand stamped hand made, hand applied drops. This is a true masterpiece of a bracelet and I am confident in the attribution to Fred Peshlakai which I guarantee. I have ten photos comparing to his known pieces which I'll be happy to share with the buyer. It is currently
set for a relatively bargain price for his exquisite work. I've been wearing it a lot and may take it off the
    market
    soon; fair warning.

Yes, I sometimes can take reasonable offers.
I request payment by PayPal in two days, but planned in advance of purchase, alternate payment methods and time payments can generally be arranged.
I generally ship same day. Domestic: FREE expedited US shipping. I’m including insurance on all my shipments till the PO resumes full functionality.
International buyers pay actual shipping cost if I’m shipping myself rather than using eBay’s Global Shipping service, and International buyers are responsible for any customs fees their own countries may apply. Please discuss changing shipping method prior to purchase. My shipping defaults to Express International, which is tracked and insured, but I can use Priority Mail International. It's less expensive and is also tracked. First Class International is no longer offered by the US Postal Service. I charge the actual shipping cost and since shipping to each country costs a different amount, I will charge a little extra and refund the exact difference once I can put your address in and print a shipping label. I am no longer shipping to Italy and China, but can make exceptions if you speak with me about it, especially if you are a prior customer.
Returns will be accepted for 30 days after your receipt for any reason and without question. Please let me know if you would like to return something. Returns must be in the same condition they were shipped. If I make a significant mistake in a listing I'll always give you a full refund. The 20% restocking fee does not apply when the mistake is mine. I care that you're happy and about my accuracy, and will always stand behind my work. My attributions are guaranteed for my lifetime.
When I include pages from published books in my listings it is in accordance with Fair Use Law, which permits the use of source material for discussion, reference, education and criticism.
Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so in addition to counterchecking, I have developed some expertise over the years and I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.
Everything I sell comes from my personal collection or is something that I would include in my personal collection. Most pieces are museum worthy and gallery suitable, sold to you at great pricing. I vet every item carefully for quality and condition, and offer you the best.
