The Cklone Bender is a germanium fuzz based on the classic MKII Tone Bender. The MKII tone bender is a three-transistor circuit that has loads of sustain and “buzz”-like gain. The Cklone Bender stays true to the original circuit with an added modern powering solution.
The vintage units were only powered with a 9V battery. New-Old-Stock (NOS) germanium transistors require a positive-ground power supply (-9V DC). We added a charge pump to internally invert your standard 9V DC power supply into a -9V supply that can be used with the NOS germanium transistors. This makes it easy to integrate this fuzz with any modern pedal power supply.
