Up for auction is a really cool and highly sought after BYOC 2 Knob ESV Bender.  It was BYOC's version of the MKII Tone Bender and it sounds awesome.
I bought this kit, new, from BYOC over a decade ago.  Can't remember exactly.  I put it together myself.  This was my first kit to put together, so I took my time and I think I did a pretty good job wiring it all up.  See picture #2 for a gut shot.  Although I thought about it, I never got around to putting the decals on or painting the enclosure.  Decals are long gone, which means I can't find them and I don't believe I'll ever get around to painting it.
The pedal comes with a trio of OC75 germanium transistors.  They are socketed, so you can swap them out for something else if you want.  Simple to use, volume on the left and fuzz attack on the right.  The secret sauce for this pedal is an internal trim pot for the bias.  Those three controls will provide you all the fuzzy tones you would ever want.  Cleans up with your guitar's volume control.

We started with a redesign of our PCB so that it would fit the larger axial leaded capacitors and carbon comp resistors and made the layout look nice and pretty. We wanted the E.S.V. series to be aesthetically appealing on the inside (the outside is up to you!). We also made the solder pads and traces as beefy as possible. Thicker traces mean better signal flow. It also makes the PCB virtually indestructible and makes soldering a breeze.
The next thing that makes the BYOC E.S.V. 2-Knob Bender special is the component selection. We used the highest quality and coolest looking vintage mojo parts we could muster up – carbon comp resistors, shiny blue Vishay aluminum electrolytics, and axial leaded film capacitors. But the heart and soul of any Tonebender is its transistors. The BYOC E.S.V. 2-Knob Bender kit comes with a set of N.O.S. OC75 germanium transistors that have been tested for leakage and gain selected to produce the best tone.
