The FZ-3 was a compact effects pedal that reproduced the vintage fuzz sound using analog circuitry. it was manufactured from 1997 to 2001, but it is still very popular because of the small number of units produced, the fact that the later model FZ-5 had digital circuitry and the sound was different from the FZ-3, and the fact that John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers used it on his live tour for the album "Californication".
The FZ-3 uses discrete circuitry to ensure stable quality and low noise, even among analog fuzzes that vary greatly from individual to individual.
The FZ-3 has a classic smooth sound reminiscent of the late 60's, and when the FUZZ knob is turned up, the rich sound is perfect for guitar solos.
