    Description

Antique Japanese Kyo Yaki Blue & White Dragon Bowl
Measures 5.25" Inches Wide by 2.25" Inches Tall
Up for no reserve auction is an impressive Kyo Yaki dragon bowl from the mid to late Edo Period (1603-1868).  This bowl is in excellent condition for its age, with just a couple rim frits on the inside edge of one side (Please see picture #11 on the left side for the best idea, as I didn't get a closeup picture).  The 3-clawed dragon is painted in a free flowing painting style, and the painting in the center of the bowl is just incredible.  Since this bowl is not round it is likely not a chawan, but perhaps a mukozuke, a bowl for food.  It would certainly be hard to find another bowl like this one, and it would be a great addition to any early Japanese collection.

Buyers in China:  Please wait for a revised shipping invoice to be sent immediately after the end of the auction.  The majority of items will need to be sent via USPS Priority Mail Express for reliable tracking info and delivery confirmation.  First class mail will not be used unless an added registered mail component is added for lesser valued items, so if you see it as an option then it is a mistake.
Buyers in Other Countries:  Please message me to see if we can find some cheaper shipping options.
