  • Condition: This gorgeous antique Japanese signed hand decorated and gilded bowl with birds and flowers around the outside and a landscapes figures on the inside and border designs inside and out is in fabulous condition especially considering it's age, circa 1850-1860's, and is free of any cracks, chips, hairlines or losses to it's beautiful painted and gilded designs as shown in detail in my multiple photographs. My clear photographs from all sides are provided to accurately represent the design, quality, condition and overall beauty of this delightful mid-19th century fine signed Japanese porcelain bowl.

    Description

    Here is an absolutely fabulous antique Japanese finely hand decorated and gold gilded signed Kutani porcelain bowl, with intricately detailed birds and flowers on the outside and a landscape scene with figures of a couple and woman, birds and border designs. This 8 1/2 inch diameter piece stands 3 1/4 inch tall and is signed on the bottom as shown. It was obtained by me through an estate auction of an elderly collector who had acquired the bowl many years earlier. His family always remembered him having it but had not further information as to where he had acquired it. This is an exquisite example of fine mid-19th century Japanese art pottery, possibly traded in Edo as the Meiji period began in Japan. I will be sure the bowl is wrapped very carefully for shipping.
